Family/Career Conference

Several churches in our community have gotten together to offer a Family/Career Conference at Weddington Church. The conference, which will be held in the Family Life Center, will address resume building and networking. Social Services will also be on hand to advise families about services that are able to assist them.
Ann Noonan, from AGAPE Christian Counseling, will speak about the emotional stress of unemployment and the stress of changing careers in a tough economy.
Rev. Dr. Terry Moore, our senior pastor, and Bruce Powell, Pastor of Siler Presbyterian Church, will address those attending about the spiritual challenges that unemployment poses.
Additional sponsors of the event are Mineral Springs United Methodist Church and Heath Memorial United Methodist Church.
Many services that can assist families will have booths at the conference. While there is no cost for conference, pre-registration is required as lunch will be served. For more information or to register, contact Weddington Church at (704) 846-1032.
Fall Hoedown

Back by popular demand! The Cornerstone Sunday School class is sponsoring a Fall Hoedown on Saturday, September 27, to raise funds for local and international missions. Women's Volleyball
