As Christians, we are called to service. The moment you walk out of the Church, you are entering the mission field. You are a witness to each person you meet. It is through you, people can come to Christ. This is our ultimate mission. The Weddington Church family is dedicated to serving Christ through local and international mission work.
Bob Georges, Foreign Missions Chair, welcomes involvement of any individual, class, or small group to support the missions listed below. You may contact him at (704) 841-9162 or at BGeorges@mygroupplan.com.

Kenya Mission Trip
February 19 - 28, 2009 Plans are underway to send a mission team to Kenya next year. While the trip is not scheduled until 2009, it’s not too early to begin making plans to participate. Plus, the earlier tickets are purchased, the lower the cost will be.
Brochures detailing the cost of this trip are located in the Information Center. Tickets should be ordered no later than the middle of September.
If you plan to go on this mission trip, you must complete a Short-Term Mission Application and turn in a non-refundable $500 deposit by September 15, 2008.
This is the trip of a lifetime! Consider being a part of the Weddington Church Acts 1:8 ministry. The Kenyans are thrilled that Christians in the United States care deeply about them.

Paul Morrel School of Evangelism: Meru Kenya Weddington Church has supported this school for many years in an official partnership relationship because this institution provides a free biblical and theological education for poor, untrained pastors in Kenya. These pastors become educated and return to their towns and spread orthodox, life-giving Biblical truth in an area of the world that is hurting from syncretistic, heretical teaching. The ministry of one trained pastor can bless a region for generations with the message of Jesus Christ.
