The Staff-Parish Relations Committee is pleased to announce that our very own Pastor Terry Moore has been elected to chair the Western North Carolina Conference Board of Ordained Ministry. His election to this prestigious position reflects great credit on Pastor Terry’s demonstrated leadership in serving Christ and further confirms the Lord’s blessing on Weddington Church through his assignment as our Senior Pastor.
Pastor Terry has served on the Board of Ordained Ministry for a total of 12 years (1992 to 2000 and 2004 to present) and will now chair the Board for a term of four years. While the Board has a broad range of responsibilities, one of its most visible roles is that of guiding, monitoring, examining, and recommending candidates for ordination as Deacons and Elders in the United Methodist Church. Through the Board of Ordained Ministry, Pastor Terry and those he leads are literally helping shaping the future of how Christ will be served in our conference. Through our support and encouragement, we also share in this legacy.
