Please Note: North Carolina has changed the kindergarten age admission date from October 16 to August 31. Children must be age appropriate by August 31, 2008 to enroll in the 2, 3, or 4 year old programs at WCP. Children currently enrolled in a 4 year old program and turning 5 years old by October 16, 2008 are considered age appropriate for 2008-2009 school year Transitional Kindergarten at WCP. These are children who will be age appropriate to attend UCPS kindergarten for the 2008-2009 school year but whose families wish to give them one more year to develop and grow in a smaller environment.

• Registration for families currently enrolled at WCP

1. Will be handled through backpacks January 12 through 15, 2009.
2. All forms are due by January 21 with the $110.00 first child/$90.00 second child registration fee. This does need to be in the form of a check. We cannot use a Debit/Credit card for this transaction. Thank you.

• Registration for Weddington Church Members Only

1. Weddington Church members may enroll their child using the 2 page WCP Registration Form that may be downloaded from this site effective December 17th. Church members may also pick up the form during facility tours offered on January 6th, 7th and 13th.
2. Please fill out both pages COMPLETELY and mail or fax to the WCP office no later than January 16th.
3. Forms will not be ranked by order received but will be held in bulk then pulled at random until all preschool openings are filled. At that time, any additional forms will be used to create the wait lists.
4. Weddington Church families will be notified by EMAIL by January 26th of their child's placement in the program or, if necessary, on the wait list.
5. After EMAIL notification of placement, families will have until January 30th to turn in the $110.00 first child/$90.00 second child registration fee to hold their child(ren)'s spot for the 2009-2010 school year. This does need to be in the form of a check - we cannot accept debit or credit cards for this transaction.

• Weddington Christian Academy families only

1. WCA families wishing to enroll a child at WCP may pick up a Registration Form from the WC Academy office or during WCP facility tours offered on January 6th, 7th, and 13th.
2. Forms must be turned in to WCP by January 15th. Forms may be mailed, faxed or brought to the WCP office.
3. Forms will not be ranked by order recieved but will be held in bulk and randomly pulled until all classes are filled. Any remaining forms will be used to create wait lists.
4. Families will be notified by EMAIL by January 26th of their child's placement at WCP or, if necessary, on the wait list.
5. After EMAIL notification of placement, families will have until January 30th to turn in the $110.00 first child/$90.00 second child registration fee. This will need to be in the form of a check - we cannot accept debit or credit cards for this transaction.

• Registration for the community

1. Will be made available through an Intent to Register Form that may be downloaded from this site effective January 2, 2009. The form may also be picked up and turned in during facility tours offered on January 6th, 7th, and 13th.
2. We can accept forms through January 22nd. Please mail or fax forms to our office. Please do not bring forms to the preschool office - thank you.
3. Forms will not be ranked by date received. All forms received by January 22, 2009 will be randomly pulled to fill classes.
4. Families will be notified by January 31st by phone if a spot is available for their child and how to finish the registration process.
5. In the event that we are not able to enroll a child because of limited openings we will add the child's name to a numbered wait list if the family so wishes. Families will be notified by EMAIL of their child's spot on the wait list.

TOURS OF OUR FACILITY will be conducted on January 6th, 7th, and 13th 2009 at 2:00pm. In order to limit disruption to our classes and for the safety of our students these will be the only tours offered. Please meet at the Weddington Church sanctuary. The tour does not lend itself to strollers. For your convenience, please make appropriate plans. RSVP's are not necessary.

The registration fee is $110.00 for the first child and $90.00 for the second (and third) sibling. This will only be collected if we are able to place your child in our program.
