Missions - Circles

What is a Circle?

'What is a circle?' - A circle is a smaller group of women who meet on a regular basis for fellowship, prayer, bible study, work on missions projects, and to share the love of Christ. These groups are bound together by Christ to uphold each other and to support community and church needs.

'How large is a circle?' - Each circle may have different numbers since this all depends upon individual schedules. It can be as small or as large as you'd like.

'Can new circles be formed?' - Absolutely - If there are women who share a common interest - i.e. career women with no children; women in their 20's and early 30's; women new to Weddington; women who would like to meet on a Saturday morning; etc. New circles are an option if there are 2 or 3 who would like to be part of a new group or if the schedule of current circle meetins does not work into their schedules.

'How do I go about starting a circle?' - Please contact either Liz Greene or Theresa Keisler or any member of the executive team. A circle is great way to really get to know your sisters in Christ and to meet new friends.

Susanna Wesley Circle meets the second Friday morning of the month at 9:30 a.m. in Helms Hall, September through May. Most members are moms of children through middle school. For those with little ones, we offer free childcare. Our main focus is missions for women and children in need in Union County. We have a wonderful fundraiser twice a year... our Kids Konsignment Sale in March and September. The rest of the year consists of monthly meetings with programs focused on growing as women while growing closer to our Lord. Some topics include women's health, organization, service for others and education. We recognize the beauty and struggle of being a woman/mother and strive to be a support to all members. We are a very active circle that is always happy to see new members.
