An 8-Week Co-Ed Bible Study Series
January 24–March 20 (no meeting 2/14)
Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45 p.m., Family Life Center
Led by Ann White
In this series author Scot McKnight explores how Jesus connected the ancient Jewish commandments to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and strength” and “Love your neighbor as yourself” to create a creed that transforms his disciples’ lives. We will look at what it meant to be a Jewish rabbi in first-century Galilee, consider the identities, hopes, and struggles of Joseph and Marty, of John the Baptist, and Simon Peter, and discover the significance of what it means to wrestle with being one the tsadiqim or the Amhaaretz – not simply for the sake of information, but because of the light it sheds on our own calling to follow Jesus. Please register by January 20 and purchase your book prior to the first session. Childcare is available by reservation.
