Church Columbarium Coming Soon
The Church Council, Board of Trustees, and Finance Committee have approved the addition of a columbarium to be located at the east end of our Weddington graveyard. Columbarium Designs from Buford, Georgia was engaged to develop a plan (depicted above). Construction has been approved by the town of Weddington and we are now in the final stages of deciding on materials and agreeing on a start date. Our hope is that the project will be complete by the end of summer.
The columbarium will have 336 niches. Each niche will hold two urns. Members of Weddington can purchase niches for themselves and their family members. The purchase price for each niche will be $2,000. Funds will be used for construction. Remaining funds beyond construction costs will be held in perpetuity for the care of the columbarium and our graveyards.
