What initially attracted me as a young wife and mother to Weddington Church was the beautiful campus, the warmth of the congregation, and the fabulous Children’s Ministry. Now, over twenty years later, those things are still true: the campus is still beautiful (and bigger!); the congregation is intentionally warm and embracing; and the same fabulous Children’s Minister is running an even more fabulous Children’s Ministry. But what I love most about our church is Jesus: Jesus taught from the pulpit and reinforced through discipleship; Jesus reaching out to not only visitors during service, but in service to the community around us, locally, nationally, and globally; Jesus passionately praised and fervently adored from the nursery to our senior programs. Without Jesus, our church would be nothing….but because of Jesus, we are the family of God.
