Please join us for Operation Sandwich on the second Saturday of each month. The sandwiches we make provide a meal to homeless or hungry men, women and children living in our areas at both Urban Ministry Center in uptown Charlotte and the Community Shelter of Union County.

This ministry is made possible by your donations of bread, deli meat, cheese, and your time. Please use the link below to signup to attend and to bring donation if able.

Time & Location: Weddington Campus Fellowship Hall, across the street from the Sanctuary. Set up begins at 8:30 a.m. and sandwich making begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.

Safety: Gloves will be provided and masks are optional. Tables are set individually so there is plenty of room to spread out. We ask that parents assist young children. Great jobs for the smallest hands are putting stickers on the bags, or placing the bagged sandwiches into the boxes for transport.

A note to those volunteering as Drivers:

Urban Ministry: We will load 900 sandwiches into your vehicle and you will deliver to the Urban Ministry Center where they will help you unload.

Community Shelter of Union County: We will load 125 sandwiches into your vehicle to be delivered to the Community Shelter of Union County.

Please check back near the end of January to sign up for our February 11 volunteer opportunity.
