Weddington Methodist Church invites you to serve as a Photography Intern, capturing the spiritual journey of our community through the lens of your camera. You’ll work alongside our Communications Director, focusing on capturing moments that glorify God and foster connections. This role is instrumental in conveying the essence of our fellowship, worship, and discipleship.
Responsibilities:
- Photograph church events such as Sunday worship, life groups, bible studies, and special community gatherings.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to identify key moments and themes that should be documented.
- Edit and prepare photos for use on social media, our website, and other digital platforms.
- Assist with organizing and archiving digital assets.
Requirements:
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Demonstrable skill in photography, with a focus on event or portrait photography.
- Able to work 8-12 hours per week, including Sundays for events.
- Compatible with the Christian faith and the core values and beliefs of Weddington Methodist Church.
- Must complete a background check.
Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship offering academic credit. Documentation will be provided to meet your institution’s credit requirements.
