An 8-Week Co-Ed Bible Study Series

June 5–July 31

Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45 p.m., Weddington Fellowship Hall

Led by Ann White

The book of Psalms is a wonderful inspirational book to study, but it is also one of the more difficult and complex books of the Bible. Its poetic nature, with its rich imagery make it challenging to read and understand. It contains an assortment of many themes: political plots, liturgy, social life, the nature of God and our relationship with him. Sometimes the Psalmist is praising God, sometimes he is very angry at God complaining about the way he is being treated. The Psalms give advice, warn, promise blessings, threaten punishment, and encourage us to be emotionally honest before God.

Join Ann White as we study selected Psalms to learn about these complexities with the hope that the knowledge gained will help you to read other Psalms with understanding and learn from them. Ann has a degree in theology, linguistics, and translation, has worked as a Bible translator for 50+ years and is an experienced Bible teacher.

Please register by June 3.
