An 8-Week Co-Ed Bible Study Series

January 24–March 20 (no meeting 2/14)

Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45 p.m., Family Life Center

Led by Barry Partee

In this study, Prof. N.T. Wright thoughtfully examines the extraordinary claim that Jesus of Nazareth was raised from the dead to appear in person to people after his death, crucifixion, and entombment. This journey will look at the ancient world’s understanding of the afterlife from Jewish and Greek perspectives along with the implications of their understandings as it relates to the early Christian claim of the bodily resurrection of Jesus. In addition, New Testament documents will help us to gain a broader general understanding of resurrection, as well as consider specific information as it relates to the claim that Jesus was raised from the dead in bodily form. Please purchase the book, Surprised by Hope, by N.T. Wright.
