The Worship Arts Ministry is a vital part of Weddington Church. Each week we rehearse together, pray together, and lead the congregation in a variety of formal and casual worship services. From our choirs for all ages, to our praise and worship bands, to our audio/video team, there is a place for everyone.

Audio/Video

Our Audio/Video Team is a vital part to our worship arts ministry and use their gifts to help us proclaim the good news and worship together as one church by helping with our sound and video needs each week. If you are tech-savvy and interested in becoming a part of our Audio/Video Team, please come and join us! All are welcome, regardless of experience. Training is provided.

Chancel Choir

Our Chancel Choir and our Handbell Choir lead music every Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. during the traditional service in the Weddington Sanctuary, as well as special services during the year (Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter). All are welcome to join the chancel choir within our worship arts ministry.

Children’s Choir

Our Children’s Choir meets throughout the year and is an important part of our worship arts ministry. Children in 2nd–5th grade are welcome to participate in our Children’s Choir, and then attend J.A.M (Jesus & Me) after practice.

Handbell Choir

Our handbell choir, the Weddington Ringers, is an intergenerational group of ringers that play handbell music for various worship services throughout the year. Anyone can play, regardless of experience.

Praise & Worship

The Praise & Worship Team leads worship every Sunday at the 9:30 and 10:10 services. This group of instrumentalists and singers leads the congregation in contemporary worship where people gather to praise our Lord each week. All are welcome to participate in our Praise & Worship Team!

Youth

Our youth ministry is an important part of our worship arts ministry. Students in 6th–12th grade are invited to join the variety of worship opportunities within our church to worship God and proclaim the good news to others through music or service. From Youth Singers to the Sunday Praise & Worship Team to serving with our Audio/Visual Team, there’s a place for everyone!

Additional Worship Arts Opportunities

We are one church who worships together on multiple campuses. If you are interested in joining the Worship Arts Ministry serving one of our extended Sunday congregations (11 a.m. at Bonds Grove, 3 p.m. at Monroe, or 5 p.m. with our Brazilian congregation), please contact our Praise & Worship Music Minister Justin Lineberry or our Traditional Music Minister Rob Ridgell for more information.
