Are you looking to become more familiar with the Bible?  This 4-week focus is geared for those desiring to learn more about the Bible – how it was created and organized, why Christians understand “all Scripture to be God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training,” and basic principles for reading, studying, and gleaning wisdom and guidance from God’s Holy Word. Whether you are a beginner or someone seeking a refresher course in Bible basics, this group is a great entry point. If you have a Bible, bring it, and if not, we will have Bibles available for everyone in the group.

August 15 – November 14

Led by Ann White

As Kings opens, David is now an old man and still on the throne. Now it is time for one of his sons to replace him. Kings is the study of the son of David, Solomon, who succeeds his father as king, and the descendants of Solomon who continue the monarchy. It is full of the ups and downs of Israel’s relationship with Yahweh. God’s loyal love for his people is tested over and over again. Finally Yahweh says “Enough!” and the results prophesied by Moses come into effect. Our study of Kings will cover the events of the reigns of the kings of Israel and Judah, and the ministries of the prophets Elijah and Elisha. We will also be looking at God’s reaction to all of this. Does he still display his loyal love? How is that shown? This 12-week study will help us to draw some lessons for our own lives.

The Characters of Christmas is a Bible study designed to take a fresh look at the Christmas story by getting to know the minor characters that played a part in Jesus’ birth, such as Zechariah and Elizabeth, the Shepherds, and Herod. As we slow down, engage our imagination, and enter into the stories of these men and women, we will see the most important character—Jesus Christ—with new eyes. Join us as we take a fresh look and discover new insights into God’s amazing and miraculous story of his son, Jesus.

Paul’s letter to the Colossians was written from prison to the believers at Colossae who were under pressure and temptation to turn away from Jesus. Paul writes to address problems in the church, challenge them to examine their lives, and encourage them to focus on having a greater devotion to Jesus. Join us as we take a closer look at the Book of Colossians and consider how Paul’s message applies to our lives today. This group of men meets September through May for fellowship, Bible study, and encouragement. You may join at any time during the year. All ages are welcome!
