Worship Arts

The Worship Arts Ministry is a vital part of Weddington Church.

Each week we rehearse together, pray together, and lead the congregation in a variety of formal and casual worship services. From our choirs for all ages, to our praise and worship bands, to our audio/video team, there is a place for everyone.

Audio/Video

Our Audio/Video Team is vital to what we do. Each week, they support our sound, and video needs to make meaningful worship possible. All are welcome, regardless of experience.  To learn more, contact Zack Mobley, Technical Director.

Chancel Choir

Our Chancel Choir is an intergenerational ensemble that leads music every Sunday at 11 a.m. during the traditional service in the Weddington Sanctuary, as well as during special services throughout the year. Whether you’re interested in singing as part of the full choir, a solo, duet, trio, or quartet—there’s a place for you. To learn more, contact Rob Ridgell, Traditional Music Minister.

Children’s Choir

Our Children’s Choir, directed by Ms. Rita Vustinas, meets from September to April. Children in 2nd–5th grade are invited to participate in Wednesday rehearsals from 5:30–6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The Children’s Choir presents a special Christmas musical each year and joins the Praise & Worship Team and the Chancel Choir in leading worship several times throughout the year.  To learn more, contact Rob Ridgell, Traditional Music Minister.

Handbell Choir

Our Handbell Choir, the Weddington Ringers directed by Jim Parrish, is a group of musicians that play handbell music for various worship services throughout the year. Anyone can play, regardless of their experience. To learn more, contact Rob Ridgell, Traditional Music Minister.

Praise & Worship

Our Praise & Worship Team leads the congregation in contemporary worship every Sunday at the 9:30 and 10:10 a.m. services. To learn more or get involved, contact Justin Lineberry, Praise & Worship Minister.

Youth Praise Band

Our Youth Ministry Praise Band is for students in 6th–12th grade. Whether it’s singing with the Youth Singers, leading with the Sunday Praise & Worship Team, or serving on the Audio/Visual Team—there’s a place for you. To learn more, contact  Joanna McCall, Associate Youth Minister.

We are one church worshiping together across multiple campuses.

If you are interested in joining the Worship Arts Ministry and serving with one of our extended Sunday congregations—11 a.m. at Bonds Grove, 3 p.m. at Monroe, or 5 p.m. with our Brazilian congregation—please contact our Praise & Worship Music Minister, Justin Lineberry, or our Traditional Music Minister, Rob Ridgell, for more information.
