Ways to Serve
We’ll make sure you feel prepared with clear instructions and simple training before you serve. You’ll always serve alongside a team as you create a welcoming environment where guests feel see and supported.
Sectional Witness
Look for those you don’t know during the “Passing of the Peace” and give them a warm welcome as you introduce yourself. If they are new to Weddington Church, offer to walk them to the Welcome Desk after service where they will receive information about the church and a small gift.
Welcome Sowers
Help “sow the seeds” of Christ’s love as you serve at high-attendance events like Easter, Christmas Eve, and Upward Sports—helping greet, direct, and support guests as they arrive.
Welcome Desk Team
Volunteers are present at each Welcome Desk on Sunday mornings and during special worship services to warmly welcome and assist anyone who has questions or needs help.
Good News Team
Do you have creative ideas for how we can share the light of Christ with a hurting world? Do you love meeting new people? If so, consider serving on the Good News Team.
Coffee Team
The 10:10 Coffee Team serves each week by setting up, brewing, and cleaning up the coffee stations in the Family Life Center, creating a welcoming way to share Jesus’ love and serve as a family. Volunteers arrive by 9:30 a.m., stay 10–15 minutes after worship, and can serve monthly, quarterly, or as needed with training and a step-by-step guide available.
Parking Team
The Parking Team serves the church by helping create a safe & welcoming arrival experience for everyone who comes to worship. From directing traffic to assisting guests arriving for our worship services and events throughout the year, this team offers a welcoming first impression and a meaningful way to serve together.
