The Senior Adult Ministry’s mission is to provide Christian fellowship and opportunities to nurture and support one another through special events, studies and trips.

Kings & Queens Monthly Meetings

The Kings & Queens meet the second Thursday of each month, September through May, in the Weddington Campus Fellowship Hall at 10:00 a.m. for social time, crafts, bingo, special programs, and lunch. Topics are related to health, finances, spiritual growth, missions, gardening, and the arts. The objective is to meet the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of seniors, as well as provide learning opportunities for continued growth. Visitors are welcome. Occasionally, due to trips, meeting dates are subject to change. Contact Sandra McKee for more information.

Senior Adult Bible Study

Wednesdays at 4 p.m., Hemby House
This 6-week Bible study for Senior Adults begins March 8 and will focus on the book “52 weeks with Jesus” by James Merritt. Come and join us as we study the seven “I am” verses found in John’s gospel. Books will be provided. For more information or to register, contact Sandra McKee.

Senior Adult Trips

During the summer, day trips are planned. Other trips are scheduled during the year, including an annual trip to Myrtle Beach for Christmas shows, a senior adult retreat to The Cove, the Billy Graham Training Center in Black Mountain, NC, and occasional trips with Christian Tours.

Contact Sandra McKee at the church office for more information about meetings and trips.
