Where was God during 9/11?

Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, the images, stories, and questions remain. In the face of unimaginable evil and loss, one question continues to challenge our faith: Where was God?


In “Where was God on 9/11?,” Pastor Terry reflects on the memories of that day, the sacrificial courage of first responders, and the reality of evil in our world. Through Psalm 23, Romans 8, and the words of Jesus, he reminds us that God does not abandon us in the darkest valley. God was present with those who suffered, those who served, and those who grieved—and His promise to remain with us has not changed.


As we remember the lives lost and honor those who ran toward danger to save others, we are also called to recognize the reality of evil without losing sight of the hope we have in Jesus Christ. Trouble and darkness are real, but they do not have the final word.
