How Will We Respond to Christmas?

This past Sunday, Pastor Terry shared a message from Matthew 2:1–12 on Epiphany, asking an important question as the church begins a new year: How will we respond to Christmas? Through the story of the Magi, he pointed to how God reveals Christ not only to insiders, but to the whole world—and how every revelation calls for a response.
By contrasting the reactions of Herod, the religious leaders, and the Magi, Pastor Terry challenged us to examine our own response to Jesus. While fear and apathy miss what God is doing, the Magi follow the light they are given, bow in worship, and leave changed. Their example leads to the reminder of the “fourth gift”—giving ourselves fully to Christ—and a renewed commitment to faithful obedience.
